Description
The coolest drones are the ones you build yourself!
Air:Bit from MakeKit is a Norwegian-made "Build-a-drone", where you make a quadcopter from scratch. You learn as you go and (hopefully) get to know more about electronics, batteries, motors and propellers. You can either download a program, or code it yourself using MakeCode blocks, Jaascript or Python.
Make the Air:Bit drone fly using motion sensors on a smartphone, tablet or other micro:bit.
If you want to keep building, you can add a collision sensor, camera, a buzzer and many other cool things with our additional sensor kit.
To fly the drone you need at least 1 micro:bit. We recommend 2 micro:bits; one for the drone and one to use as a remote control. That way steering it is easier.
NOTE: Micro:bit is not included. If you don't already own a Micro:bit you need to buy one. With a Micro:bit in the house, you have all the possibilities in the world to combine play and programming.
